Important Announcement – please share!

To quash some rumours that are circulating, we can confirm that Tonfanau Road Racing will continue to provide a family friendly series of race meetings next year and into the future, but with some changes behind the scenes.

Crewe and South Cheshire MC will no longer be involved in the running of Tonfanau Road Races following our final 2022 meeting on August 28th, although some of the old familiar faces will stay on to oversee a transition to a new club structure. The new regime will be led by Paul Myler and John and Jean Price, who are all enthusiastic about the future and have some refreshing ideas, more of which to follow in due course.

We will hold a “Barn Meeting” on Saturday 27th at 6pm in the hangar to enable riders and officials to contribute ideas and identify those who are prepared to assist in the new structure, followed by a similar meeting after the presentation of Trophies following racing on 28th.

As August will be the final Tonfanau for CSCMC, we need to make it one to remember. We are therefore asking riders past and present to get your entries in and help us celebrate racing one last time.

When Lee and Yvonne first started here at Tonfanau, the intention was to run for maybe 3 years. 30 years later, help us to celebrate on August 28th and make it a meeting to remember!

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Yours,

The Tonfanau Team

Lee Heeson 1950 - 2022

It is with a heavy heart that we are so very sad to pass on the news that our good friend and head of the Tonfanau family Lee Heeson is no longer with us.

Lee was diagnosed with a terminal illness last year and fought bravely against the odds, but slipped away  from us at home, Yvonne by his side.

Our thoughts are with Yvonne and her family at this sad time.

Rest in peace Lee, what wonderful memories and a fantastic legacy you have left us with.
